Forecast Discussion:
Thunderstorm activity the next few days over east-central Arizona will tend to be isolated and thus strong outflow winds causing blowing dust are unlikely. But, general afternoon breeziness will trend upward. Rain chances trend upward early next week due to the effects of a weather system tracking mainly through the Pacific Northwest and northern Rockies. Any precipitation will help to hinder the lofting of dust by strong winds. So, the 24 hour average PM10 (dust) value each day is expected to remain in the Good category through Tuesday. Of note, there may be some days with short lived periods of elevated hourly values associated with local industrial activity but those are not expected to be high enough to push the daily average out of the Good category.
