Discussion

PM10 (dust) was elevated, and today's PM10 is forecast have a similar trend as well. In general, highest PM10 levels are expected in industrial areas south/southwest of the Phoenix metro area.

Heading into the weekend, a low dust risk will continue as there are lower wind and thunderstorm threats. Into early next week there will be more rain chances and along with strong and erratic winds possible, increasing the potential for higher PM10 concentrations. However, with these events coming periodically early next week, the overall dust risk will remain low.
