Forecast Discussion:

After some very light showers early this morning, today's main round of precipitation is expected to be this afternoon and evening with showers and thunderstorms moving through Gila County. Locally heavy rain and gusty winds can be expected. In fact, the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch in effect from noon to 10 pm this evening. Anticipate a lull in rainfall for much of Saturday before a more widespread round of rainfall comes in Saturday night - Sunday night. There is a second Flood Watch in effect then (11pm Saturday - 2 am Monday). Even more rain is expected with the second round than the first round.

24 hour average PM10 is expected to remain well within the Good category aided by the rainfall and beneficial ventilation.
