Forecast Discussion:
Pollution levels were mostly in the Good AQI range yesterday, but there was one PM10 monitor, South Tucson, which had an unusually high spike. That one hour spike was enough to lift that monitor into the Moderate category. Unfortunately, we don't have a good understanding of what caused it, but we do know it was localized, as the spike didn't show up on any other monitors.
Looking ahead, we don't expect any significant air quality issues. The area already got a little rain this morning and there will be chances for more rain through the day and this weekend. We expect the most rain to be later today and again on Sunday, which should keep pollution levels low. Overall, all pollutants are forecast to stay in the Good AQI range through the forecast period.
